Privacy Policy

1. Information we do not collect

The developer does not directly collect or maintain:

• Your name, email address, or account profile
• Your dictionary searches, favorites, or history
• Your precise location
• Advertising identifiers or behavioral analytics
• Photos, handwriting strokes, speech, or translated text on a developer-operated server

2. Data stored on your device

The app stores search history, favorites, saved translations, app preferences, downloaded language models, and Pro entitlement state locally. You can remove this local data by deleting the relevant items where the app provides controls or by uninstalling the app. Your platform provider may retain purchase records under its own policies.

3. Permissions and feature processing

• Camera and photo library: used only when you choose OCR to recognize text from a photo. Selected images are processed by platform recognition components and are not uploaded to a server operated by us.
• Microphone and speech recognition: used only when you start voice input. Processing may be performed on-device or by Apple, Google, or the speech service configured on your device. Their privacy terms apply.
• Handwriting: strokes are used to recognize Korean text. A recognition model may need to be downloaded before offline use.
• Translation: text is translated on-device after the required language model has been downloaded.
• Text-to-speech: pronunciation uses voices and speech services installed or configured on your device; availability and processing depend on your platform settings.

4. Network access and third-party services

Core dictionary lookup uses the database bundled with the app. A network connection may be used for:

• Apple App Store or Google Play: displaying product information and processing or restoring the one-time Pro purchase.

These providers may receive technical information such as an IP address, device details, purchase information, or service diagnostics according to their own privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

5. Data sharing, advertising, and tracking

We do not sell personal information. The app does not include third-party advertising or developer-operated behavioral analytics. Data may be handled by the platform and service providers listed above only as needed to provide the feature you request, process a purchase, maintain security, or comply with law.

6. Children

The app is not designed to collect personal information from children. Because we do not operate user accounts or a user-data server, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. Platform services remain governed by their providers’ policies and parental controls.

7. Security and retention

App-created user data is retained locally until you remove it or uninstall the app. No method of device storage or electronic processing is completely secure; protect your device with the security features provided by its operating system.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
