Does the dictionary work offline?
Yes. The core Korean-English dictionary is bundled with the app, so word lookup does not require an internet connection. Pro handwriting and translation require an initial model download. Purchases, uncached Korean fonts, and some speech services may also require a connection.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It unlocks handwriting, camera/photo OCR, voice search, English pronunciation, selectable Korean fonts and voices, and on-device sentence translation.
How do I restore Pro on a new or reinstalled device?
Open the Pro screen and select Restore Purchases while signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account used for the original purchase. Purchases generally cannot be transferred between Apple and Google accounts.
Why does handwriting or translation ask for a download?
These features use language models stored on your device. Connect to the internet for the first download; after the model is installed, recognition or translation can run on-device. Available storage and platform services are required.
Why is voice input or pronunciation unavailable?
Enable microphone and speech-recognition permissions and confirm that Korean or English speech support is installed on your device. Available voices and offline behavior depend on the operating system and selected speech engine.
Why can’t OCR recognize text from a photo?
Grant camera or photo-library permission, use a sharp and well-lit image, keep Korean text upright, and crop out unrelated content. Recognition results depend on image quality and platform support.
Where do the definitions and examples come from?
Dictionary content is based on KRDICT, the Korean Learners’ Dictionary from the National Institute of Korean Language, under CC BY-SA 2.0 KR. This is an independent app, not an official NIKL product. Open Settings → Sources & licenses in the app for source and license details.
How can I report an incorrect entry or example?
Email the Korean headword and the definition or example concerned, along with a brief explanation. A screenshot is helpful, but remove any personal information before sending it.
How do I remove my history, favorites, or other local data?
Individual history and favorite entries can be removed in their respective lists. Uninstalling the app removes app data stored locally, subject to your device backup settings. Store purchase records remain with Apple or Google.

기존 구매에 사용한 것과 같은 App Store 또는 Google Play 계정으로 로그인한 후 Pro 화면에서 구매 복원을 선택하세요. 일반적으로 Apple 계정과 Google 계정 사이에는 구매를 이전할 수 없습니다.
손글씨 또는 번역 기능에서 다운로드를 요청하는 이유는 무엇인가요?

사진 속 글자를 OCR로 인식할 수 없어요.
카메라 또는 사진 보관함 권한을 허용하고, 밝고 선명한 사진을 사용하고, 한국어 글자가 바르게 놓이도록 하며, 관련 없는 내용을 잘라 내세요. 인식 결과는 이미지 품질과 플랫폼 지원에 따라 달라집니다.
정의와 예문의 출처는 어디인가요?
사전 콘텐츠는 국립국어원의 한국어기초사전(KRDICT)을 바탕으로 하며 CC BY-SA 2.0 KR에 따라 사용됩니다. 이 앱은 국립국어원의 공식 앱이 아닌 독립적으로 제작된 앱입니다. 출처와 라이선스는 앱의 설정 → 출처 및 라이선스에서 확인할 수 있습니다.

검색 기록과 즐겨찾기 목록에서 개별 항목을 삭제할 수 있습니다. 앱을 제거하면 기기에 저장된 앱 데이터가 삭제되지만 기기 백업 설정에 따라 달라질 수 있습니다. 스토어 구매 기록은 Apple 또는 Google 계정에 유지됩니다.
