Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Annotium (the "App"), a photo-annotation application developed by Hoang Le ("we", "us", "our"), available for iOS and Android. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
Annotium lets you annotate photos with shapes, text, measurements, and other markup tools, and optionally attach notes, location stamps, and export results as images, PDFs, or project files. Most processing happens on your device; the App does not require an account to use.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. Your Content
You retain all rights to the photos, annotations, notes, and other content you create or import into the App ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership over Your Content. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having the rights necessary to use and annotate it, including any photos of other people or copyrighted material.
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Annotium PRO") that unlocks premium tools and features. It renews automatically at the price shown at purchase unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, as we do not have access to cancel it on your behalf. One-time purchases offered in the past are no longer sold, but continue to work exactly as before for anyone who already bought them — nothing changes, no new charge, no action needed.
All purchases are billed and processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and refund policies; we do not process payments or store payment details ourselves. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change for future purchases.
5. Advertising
The free tier of the App displays advertisements served through Google AdMob. Purchasing PRO removes ads. See our Privacy Policy for details on data used for advertising.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to create, store, or share content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that violates the privacy or rights of others; to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App except as permitted by law; or to interfere with the App's operation or circumvent its purchase mechanisms.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that measurement/annotation tools are accurate enough for any specific professional, legal, or safety-critical purpose. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.
